Not only is MasterCard® accepted at millions of locations worldwide, but this upgrade will provide you with superior benefits to enhance your purchasing experience.
Your TCU Debit MasterCard®will have a new number and a new expiration date. Please visit TCU Internet Banking and select Premium Services to reference your new TCU Debit MasterCard® number to the appropriate TCU Account.
A recurring transaction is a transaction you have set up with your Debit Card to come out of your account automatically (i.e. Indiana Toll Road, phone bill, online merchants, etc). Since you are receiving a new card number, you will need to provide your new card information to any merchant you have set up for recurring transactions. Doing so, will allow the merchant to continue taking the payment out of your account as normal. Hint: Utilize your account statement in order to identify those transactions that will need to be updated with your new card number. Visit the Uprade Checklist page for a handy guide to help you keep on track with this transition. Your Visa card will automatically deactivate 45 days after you activate your TCU Debit MasterCard®. This will allow time for any recurring transactions to transfer to your new TCU Debit MasterCard®.
Your current PIN number will transfer over to your new TCU Debit MasterCard®; you will receive confirmation of your PIN number in the mail for your new card. Once you activate your card, you are ready to begin using it worldwide. Your daily ATM withdrawal and purchase limits will remain the same with your new TCU Debit MasterCard®.
MasterCard® SecureCode™ will replace Verified by Visa in allowing you enhanced protection against unauthorized use of your card at participating online merchants. Once you've registered and created your own private SecureCode, you will automatically be prompted at checkout to provide it each time you make a purchase with a participating online merchant. Your SecureCode will never be shared with the merchant; it is just like entering your PIN at an ATM.
